Pear tree blossoms........

The blossoms are awaiting  the arrival of bees, honey bees, bumble bees, anything that could cross pollinate them.   I only had about a dozen pears last year even though there were thousands of blooms.

I am enjoying all of your blooms Larry. I remember my grandmother making pear preserves when I was little.

Sounds like you need more bees but I think they are declining in numbers. You could go around with a little paintbrush and cross-pollinate a few blossoms yourself! But maybe not- just enjoy the flowers and buy your pears at the market!

Beautiful, I love the blossoms which are all around us at this time of year. I have an unidentified tree which I think was self seeded, similar blossom to the pear but definitely not a pear. The white blossom is prolific this year.

You could cross pollinate them like jennyfreckles said. I probably would if I could grow pears up here! :)
