Windmill.....
Time to repair this windmill one more time. It went through a tornado a few years back and had some large bends that has weakened it. We get strong winds in the area and it just doesn't fair well as it suppose to face the wind to cause it to be turned. That means the full force of the wind pushes against it. I am going to get some steel posts and firmly plant it. I have a heavy hammer and I will play blacksmith to get it flatten back to it's original form.

Informal Planting.
Peonies crowd the iris as the gardener’s placement of flowers seems haphazard.

Teddy's legs are a little short for this big wheel but he still likes sitting on it. These shots were buried in my files and this one...

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

A simple question : Does it give some electricity ???
No this is a small garden version of the big ones we use to have all over the state. The farms would have them to pump water into large tanks to water the livestock. As the farms have diminished, the windmills have disappeared. Some are being restored and are being used for decoration. We are the second largest in having the new wind turbines now, following California. We are a windy state. I am glad your electricity is back. The candle light meal looked nice though.
I like these pictures. :)
