Our violets are starting to bloom. I let them get really dried out then watered them and now they are blooming.

Trying to comment on your Sepia Saturday post but for some reason the comment link has not come up. Anyway thanks for posting, it is a great photograph - mind you, the photographs you post always are.
Violets, Oh such a marvellous colour. I heard they didn't like continuous watering. That must be how I went wrong years ago. I've learned the lesson about watering now though. My mentor told me always to treat plants as if they were in their own habitat.
