It's a nice idea to have greeters at the gate, it's such a friendly thing to do. Over here, unless it was cemented to the ground, it would be stolen. I had a stone bench on the front lawn and an attempt was made to take it... fortunately it was too heavy. But I did have four ornamental cats taken from outside another house.
