White Purity.........Neighbor's Iris........

I was over to Judy's house to help replace a cylinder on her storm door.  I took my camera along as she has the best iris blooms in town.  It is interesting how the different colors bloom at different times.  This is her second color to bloom.  I posted a lavender one of her's a few days ago on my Creative Zone.

The white Iris is simply beautiful. I adore white flowers and I haven't seen many white Iris's.

My education on the subject of iris (is the plural iris or irises?) improves all the time thanks to your splendid blog.

Judy has some of the biggest iris blooms! The white really stands out against all the greenery in the background. Thanks to you both for sharing.

This is a beautiful iris...I can see why you took your camera! I've never seen an all white one before. Isn't it nice to have neighbors with beautiful lawns?

Alan is on the spot and correct. I guess I know that it is irises (plural) but was hesitant to spell it out so you notice I wrote iris blooms. One plant is an iris, but two plants are irises. I also found a strange plural in the dictionary called irides. I don't know where that came from or if they are referring to irises in eyes. Oh the English language.

Crowded.....

The tulip was up first but the peony is now spreading out and shoving the tulip around a bit.
