I had never thought of it before but the stems of the tulip have to be very strong to have the bloom on the end of it's stem. I guess that is why they have such a stiff stem that snaps when you break it off by hand.

Crowded.....
The tulip was up first but the peony is now spreading out and shoving the tulip around a bit.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...
