I like to think of some of the flowers as sculptural forms in a natural state. The crown of little yellow flowers fascinates me as it seems so out of place but is needed to make the flower more colorful.

Somebody naughty has been munching on your flowers. Here it's the adult corn rootworm beetle who devours the petals of roses, zinias etc. Everything but the smelly marigolds. :)

I studied the picture hard but can't decide: are they holes or raindrops on the petals?
Just as troutbirder said, it is and adult corn rootworm beetle that eats on my zinnias. I like that, as I hear commercials on tv all the time what farm chemical that will kill it.
