Another late day posting........
My one burning bush has shown pinkish colored leaves every year for quite some time. I think that because it is growing close to my burn pile if affects the color of the leaves it puts out. The ash from the burn pile must wash down into the root system and cause the leaves to be a lighter red than my other two bushes.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

Very pretty color!
It's lovely. You've reminded me that my grandfather used to put ashes from the fire on the garden. This must be why. I live and learn.
