Knockout Wednesday......
The knockout rose is putting out a few last buds for the fall. I keep calling these carefree roses and I guess I am not sure but I think that the carefree is a brand name just like a knockout rose. Either one does a great job of putting out smaller, simple roses that survive Iowa winters.

Time's a Passing....
The early morning was full of color as the sune was yet to be above the horizon. It has been cold and the sky adds to the feeling of winter...

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

Very nice color.
We have 3 knock out red rose bushes. This is their 2nd year. They have done so well despite our harsh summers. They are about the only color we have in this yard and they are on the corner at the entrance to our subdivision - I'm glad they look good or the pressure would be on!!!!!
