Have a view of my daily photos or photos from my past. We all need to document the world around us visually. What I see is mostly what you get.

Saying Goodbye to the Season.........
It is interesting that certain colors have been attached to feelings about holidays. The black and orange of Halloween and the oranges and browns for Thanksgiving. The complementary colors of red and green always signifies Christmas.
The stencil decoration of holly with red berries and red bow is a classic symbol for the season. As we put away our Christmas things and prepare for the rest of the long cold winter we go back to our everyday colors. The spark of color from blooming green plants is the only balance we can have before spring finally arrives.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

It's always hard to put away Christmas. The house looks very drab until Spring.
Wishing you a nice week.
Here is the link to Muffy's blog about hot air balloons....wonderful to see blue skies and color!

I'm one of those people who can't wait to clear up after Christmas... and then I bewail the emptiness of the place and the lack of colour.
