The redtwig dogwood is a bright color among all the brown grass and weeds. I didn't get it trimmed back last fall. I may still do some thinning on it as it is crowding out an iris and a peony.

Crowded.....
The tulip was up first but the peony is now spreading out and shoving the tulip around a bit.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...
