A fallen branch with leaves has turned to a fall color unlike the dead leaves in the background. The dead leaves are from the same tree because of the drought and the broken off branch actually turned to fall colors.

The tulip was up first but the peony is now spreading out and shoving the tulip around a bit.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

Interesting. I've had tons of dead oak leaves in the yard since early August due to the drought....
I love fall colors.
Wonderful colours that remind me why Autumn is my favourite season of the year.
