Standing under my entrance to my backyard I can see the fluid set of shapes of the ash tree. The hard straight structure lines give you a feeling of peering out of a jail cell.

The tulip was up first but the peony is now spreading out and shoving the tulip around a bit.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...
