The sidewalk is old, created by a government program, to give young men work. It has held up pretty well considering its age. The top concrete has worn away and the rock is revealed. The leaf is stationary for only a moment as the wind sends it on its way. More leaves will fall soon as the tree turns to red and then they fall.
