Winter Feeder..........

The red bellied woodpecker is a loyal feeder in my yard.  This kind and the downy ones really enjoy the fresh cake of suet and seeds. I have seen the nuthatch there once in a while but it only wants the seeds that are projecting out of the suet.

I have four feeders in my garden but it seems there is less birds this year because of the very bad weather of last year.

How lovely to have a woodpecker visiting. In our last house we rubbed fat into the tree bark which attracted them. Now though, we don't have the same luck.
