Let it Shine,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Another lost item that I found in the back of a drawer. I use to think it was a coaster for an old cast iron bed. I do know my grandmother had glass coasters under one of her beds. I am not sure what it actually was used for but I have had it for a long time and I have apparently had it hiding in the back of my drawer for quite some time.

So pretty. I don't think I've ever seen/heard of a glass coaster.
When I searched on google glass antique bed coasters I did find some. I think I have one of them in the basement, as they are more simple than what I am showing. I am thinking that it is not a coaster but more like a spoon rest of salt holder. I did want to be sure that I wasn't making this stuff up and I was glad they were called furniture coasters.
I am getting a few responses from facebook followers and they think it is an ashtry. I guess I have to go to the basement and find the glass coasters for beds. I have a couple that I can share when I find them.
It's pretty, whatever it is. I love it when I find things in boxes and drawers that I have long forgot about.
At first I thought it was an ashtray. I'd be afraid it might break under a heavy bed.
