A Brick Pattern.......

The bricks come from many sources.  Some were ones that I dug up from the ground that have been left buried on the property. Most of them are very old.  The oldest ones were probably made in local brick factories that are now long gone.

We have some old bricks like that around a few flower beds. I think they are so pretty!

That made a cool picture, Larry. And thoughts back to other times. Nice.

Seems very solid bricks! I think old bricks are stronger than newly ones…

Bricks are so useful, and versatile. I used to have a circular flower bed with red bricks forming the outer ring.

As I get older, I don't remember like I once did BUT I do remember Mother telling me that the brick they chose when they built their home in 1950 was called Chattahoochee Scratchface!!! I thought that was very appropriate as each time I would be playing and run into that brick, it would tear up my skin! Also, on Easter Sunday, daddy would rub the soles of my brand new Sunday shoes on that brick so I would not slip and fall. A precious memory!
