Tells its Own Story
The only part of the story that isn't shown here is that the new neighbor decided to chopped every single white lilac down to a stubby stem. One lone stem refused to be treated so badly that it still put out leaves and some blooms. This is the one and only bloom left after the chopper process was done.
A bonus shot of the lilac blooms across the alley where nothing has been trimmed back for years.
