"Snake in the woods" is the title of this photo. Garter snakes like to climb up into bushes and warm themselves in the sun. This one is wrapped around a cement planter swan's head. I never did see its head and really didn't want to mess with it at the time. I have seen the snakes curl up on top of evergreen branches and in other shrubs. I have a few of these guys to get rid of but I haven't been on task to do it so far this summer. If I catch them I send them to the landfill.

Our cats love to play with those garter snakes! Haven't seen one yet this year but we usually have one or two in the yard at some point!
I just don't like to see snakes in my yard! I'm sure we will see all sorts of things here. You may can hear me scream! lol

Interesting, Larry. Only once did I have a snake in my garden, a colourful creature which turned out to be someone's pet. I can't imagine having a snake for a pet.
