Skip, Skip, Skipper.......
The skipper has an orange tinge to the inside of its wings. I have never seen the wings open ass they are so quick when they move around and fly around. If it instantly bothers then it is unbalanced. I am opting for imperfection today.

See now, I strongly prefer when a photo is heavier to one side. It brings the eye to subject and just feels more natural to me than a centered image... which I do realize is different than balanced. But what do I know? I know that I like your skipper pic. :)
I do like to use off balance a lot but in this case I think my skipper points to the other side of the shot. Those little flowers really are not that big to be pointed towards. I do like the photo better today than I did when I wrote the blog.
I think the balance is great! The focus seems to be a little right of the skipper...on the petals, but I like it anyway. I didn't know those were called skippers....I'm going to have to look for them!
