Old Glass Coasters........

I remember these kind of things more from my experience of seeing them at my Grandmother's house out on the farm.  The painted iron beds upstairs all had glass coasters on their legs so the bed would not wear a hole into the linoleum floors. That kind of flooring was usually decorated with a color pattern of flowers and a border sometimes around the edges. I found these three in a drawer of a cupboard that I was dismantling. I threw the cabinet into the dumpster. The drawers really were not holding much of value and it was good to just get rid of the unneeded piece of furniture in the basement.

I remember these. During my childhood, there were two elderly sisters who lived across the street from my family's home. (Nora & Dora!) They used these under their furniture!

I bet if you put that dresser on Craig's List, someone would have bought it! Upcycling dressers is really big right now!

Love the old glass coasters! I don't think I've seen those before!

PS...we don't have a dumpster...just put our trash cans at the end of the driveway. When we have an old piece of furniture we don't want, we put it out in the evening with the trash to be picked up the next morning. Trash pickers almost always take the furniture as soon as the sun goes down. We're amused at the things they have taken! haha.

I remember that coasters were always used when bed-legs had those twisty wheels. I'd forgotten that trend.
