I am not an astronomer. I watched the last of the moon's cycles and Venus was right there with it. Then when the moon disappeared Venus was still up there shinning brightly. You can barely see it in the lower part of the photo. When the moon reappeared, it now is completely in a different part of the sky. I am assuming that as the moon becomes more full that the moon will be closer to Venus again. My mind really can't wrap itself around all of those changing cycles. I guess I will have to be happy that I can look up and identify the moon no matter where it is.
Have a view of my daily photos or photos from my past. We all need to document the world around us visually. What I see is mostly what you get.

Teddy's legs are a little short for this big wheel but he still likes sitting on it. These shots were buried in my files and this one...

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

This is a pretty photo. We enjoy the night sky here as there are no street lights and very few houses and we are far away from the smog of Atlanta. One neighbor woke to find three bears on his front lawn, estimated to weigh between 300 and 500 lbs, so my time outside in the dark has become limited! lol
Took me a while, but I see it! Beautiful sky, too!
Had to look close to see that!
Yes beautiful sky !
Also very pretty peonies
Nice observation on the planet and I could see that tiny white dot little above the dark clouds.
