The birds have started coming to my feeder more frequently but I did notice that the blue spruce tree is a popular place for them to be. I don’t know if they can eat pinecones but the top of it is covered with them.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

I don't see many song birds yet. It's nice when the robins show up in spring.

The birds love blue spruce. These are all puffed up from the cold. Mockingbirds maybe?
Lovely capture and looks the blue spruce is comfortable for birds to preach top.
