Her mate is trying to poke through the ice coated sock. I had to move it back into the right position as the wind was so strong that it was wrapped around the support lodge. These are the only two birds that I have seen at the feeders this wintery morning.

Breakfast........

They are so tiny, it's hard to imagine how they survive the cold and wind.
I bet they are building a nest right beside your house. They like doing that. They are not called House finches for nothing.
