Not a Rain Gauge......

We received more than an inch of rain.  This had some of a previous sprinkles day so it is fuller than a one day’s measure. A blog friend in India says they still use the aluminum version of this milkman. I hadn’t thought of it before but dairy farms today use stainless steel tanks carrying gallons of milk instead of individual small cans.

Your "rain gauge" brought back a flood of memories for me, L.D. I was raised on a dairy farm, back in the day when the milk still went in these milk cans and either my father or grandfather delivered the cans to a dairy plant. Before I graduated high school though they had gone to the large steel tank and the tanker truck would come by and pick up the milk. Thank you for the memories!
