Rembrandt Tulips.......

The tulip has been called a Rembrandt tulip for many years.  I remember it as a kid not knowing who the painter Rembrandt was. I planted them in a long flower bed knowing now that I should have planted them in a clump. If they do not multiply then I will have 34 spikes of tulip heads scattered all up and down my peony bed.

I have always loved that particular tulip because of the way the colors meld together. Just beautiful.
