An evergreen tree with its roots exposed above the rock surface. The Lake Superior waves has worn away at it for many years. The roots must be in soil but they may reach up into the hill as they are blocked by the shoreline rock.

Drying Out

Makes an interesting photo. We have a couple of trees like this that we hope to have cut in the late fall. A local group of me will cut the trees for free and they provide the firewood to families in need.
