A mild blur gives it an effect that fits with the subject matter. Low light is not a good light to be shooting a photo with an automatic camera. I never learn.

I always use manual mode to shoot any photo, subject or circumstance. Your image isn't bad.
I unpacked my tree this morning and put away all of my Christmas decorations. I love this time of year, it's magic!
