Ringing in the new year with the Christmas decoration that hangs in the kitchen. Our new year started with people in the neighborhood shooting off fireworks, leftover from the fourth of July. It was strange to hear it but I didn't get up and look out. It was dark and cold out there. We had a light layer of ice coating things this morning.

Our neighbors that will be moving soon always shoot fireworks. Thankfully, last night they stopped early in the evening.
Maybe they are tired from packing. Lol
