The Bird News.....


 The male  house finch seems to always be with his female partner but he still is turning bright red for mating season. The male is just not that red durning the winter but now heading into March he is a glowing red. The female standing next to him doesn't seem to change in color through the seasons.


The female can be mistaken for a sparrow but its stripes on its chest are evident. Also the house finches are smaller than the sparrow.
