Barney was a wonderful border collie. We had him for 18 years which was extraordinary. He was always near one of us night and day. I snapped this shot three years ago while sitting in the living room. He was old then and sleeping was a given for him. We missed him so much. He has been gone three years this Fevruary.

It is so hard losing a pet of many years together. Some said it would be a training lesson for kids to learn about death. It is quite a challenge every time a loved one is lost
We lost our dog, Pipo, to illness a long time ago, he was 15 years old. We never took one back for various reasons. We had 4 cats, all of them crushed dead on the road, we don't want any more.
