I bought the sock of seed solely to bring in the goldfinches. I have not had any for a month. So when you first see them you snap pictures like a wild man. The candid shot at the top shows the happiness that I have that I got a shot. The pair stayed for a long time and I took dozens of shots. The male is the most yellow so he can catch a female's attention. The female at the top with brown feathers blends in with the nest. I believe from experience that they are just traveling through. I hope I am wrong.
