Crimson King.....

 

A different photo for me to share that isn't a flower or a bird. I inherited this tree from the previous owner and I am pleased to have it. It is a different kind of maple tree and I am not use to its different  stages of development.  The early green leaf-like shapes do turn green and then to dark purple.  In the fall the dark leaves are so slow to fall.  I find that it is snowing sometimes before all the leaves have shed.  It is a thicker leaf and a pile of them can choke out any kind of growth that they land upon.
