We have traffic going over us that heads to the Des Moines International Airport. They vary their flight plans but we are use to hearing the sounds of jets. Sometime the weather is such that they fly low below the clouds and one wonders if there is a plane crash to happen. The thing is that the sky is big and while I am out working or carrying my camera I have to look everywhere to see what is up there. Obama shut down the jets from our Air National Guard Base suggesting that they just concentrate on drones. Years later we do now have lots of training with helicopters. Their sound is different than the medical helicopter.
The spot in the sky does look like this when you zoom in and get the shot before it goes behind trees. Its a blurry shot. Sometimes they do practices and five or six fly at a time in some kind of formation going over our city. I am surprised as to one does just get use to the sounds from the sky after living here six years.
