It isn't really a summer garden without having one or two sunflowers blooming. I first grew them as a kid sixty years ago on our farm in southern Iowa. I had a row of twelve of them at the edge of the vegetable garden.

Fruit and Cookies....
We have a bounty of fruit for Thanksgiving visitors and also some chocolate chip cookies. It is all good eating.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...
