Chick, Chick,.....Chick.
Sixty years ago when I was a kid on the farm my parents used this chick water device. They would buy the chicks from a nursery and they would be placed in a limited area to start them off. The little chicks would naturally head to the water and dip their beaks in the water. Then they tipped their heads back to roll that water down their throats. This is the actual one we used and just like my parents the glass feeder dish is something you just can't throw away as it is filled with so much memories. We had large metal ones that worked the same way as the water was pour into the barrel shape and a lid was slid over it to keep the birds from falling into the water.
