As the year ends the Nutcracker soldiers will be going off duty. They will take the year off from guarding the stairs and rest in storage. The gingerbread houses will be retired in a different way. I like to toss them one a week until they are gone.

Fruit and Cookies....

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...
