I built the shelf and hung it to the wood surface of the cupboard. As time goes on I put things on it without thought of common shapes or design. It is a mixed group with the common function of each being able to hold something. The far left has a replica depression ware glass dish. Next to it is a cheap glass jar replicating an old bottle. A silver plated pitcher is old and it shares the space with a Wedgewood vase. The Wedgewood was bought at an auction back in 1973 for six dollars. The bud vase is made of pewter and that type of product was a trend for a while even though pewter is such a soft metal that it isn't practical. The final one on the shelf is a china cup, one that I have because I liked the decal painting on the side of it. It is Royal Albert bone china from England. It is called Greenwood Tree. Soon things will be taken away and a different display will be created.

Larry, that's so neat that you use the shelf that you made to put different displays of items that you have acquired. I love it when the things we display have a story behind them. I call it history!
The flat lays work here. Quite pleasant visually
