The mourning dove sits on the top of a feeder enjoying some sun. It also is preening its feathers so it has that ruffled look.
The dove regains its composure as it looks down on the seed below, trying to decide where it is hungry or not.

These are great pictures of the mourning dove. We heard some cooing here this morning early.
