Fernleaf Peony........

My three plants are at their peak in blooming while my mom's plant is already done blooming. That plant is an hour south of here and the weather is always warmer and the seasons earlier. I like the shine that the camera picked up on the petals.

Mine haven't opened yet, but this year I have vowed not to go anywhere until they're done blooming. I have a tendency to go on vacation and miss the whole thing. Not this year. If someone invites me on a luxury cruise around Sicily, I'll say sorry I can't go; I have to stay home with my peonies.

I have loved fernleaf peonies ever since I first saw them online. Unfortunately, I cannot grow them down here. Yours is beautiful.

Gorgeous bloom on a backdrop of criss-cross leaves. Greast shot.
