Have a view of my daily photos or photos from my past. We all need to document the world around us visually. What I see is mostly what you get.

The first peony bloom..........
These peony bushes were here when I bought the place back in 1976. They are all in a row lining the driveway. I have not done anything to them except keep the mulberry trees from growing into their roots. I know they are old plants and they keep on blooming. The hot weather today helped to open them up today.

Teddy's legs are a little short for this big wheel but he still likes sitting on it. These shots were buried in my files and this one...

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

A Perfect Pink Peony!
☼ Sunny
Beautiful. I am waiting (im)patiently for mine to bloom.
This is just a beautiful photograph Larry. What a delightful color. Here in the South, we have a tendency to plant peonies too deep and they don't bloom well until lifted and replanted. My friend, Lillie, that I visited yesterday had one that had not bloomed in years and her yard man replanted it and the blooms are so nice. Hope you enjoy your day.
What lovely color for the flower
It is very nice to enjoy them without kind of care..the nature does by itself .
Lovely! Mine should open this week! Hopefully it won't rain soon after they bloom and weight them down into the ground! Don't you just hate that?
That's pretty - the ones I've seen here are all a deeper red and not fringed like that. But we do get the problem that as soon as they bloom the rain and wind come along and ruin them. Just as Betsy says.
Gorgeous...and they smell wonderful too...their fragrance reminds me of roses.
Beautiful:)
