Two flights out,

three flights back.   We are back from visiting our son and his wife and the Bar Harbor area.

The view down from your plane seat is an interesting view.  The stories I can tell you about the experiences of the five total flights.  I feel lucky to have made it back alive, well to survive it all from a 14 hour day to get home.   More.........later.

It's been so long since I have flown - I can't imagine how complicated and tiring it is these days. Glad you are safely home.

I can't believe how large they can design these airports. We had to go to concourse c, gate 23. To find it we went through a full mall of stores and then the trams were all coming at us and not going our direction. Literally walked thirty minutes to get to the opposite end of our previous flight. Arrived at the boarding time within four minutes. Minneapolis, one needs to study all the layouts before you fly in to the terminal, or should I say multiple terminals.

When we go back east, we drive, oh it is tiring and a 15-16 hour drive, but, we make it in one piece, without to much walking. We stop for gas and food and rest for about a half hour when we get tired. Our kids can drive it in a little less time then we do, but they are younger and have more energy.
Glad you are safely home. Look forward to hearing more.

My nephew (Larry's son) is 31 and moved to Minneapolis about 4 years ago from GA for a job. When he visits with us on holidays, we hear all about the airport there! He gets a work out in the airport and also he walks several blocks to work every day!

Happy to hear you're home safe and sound. Flying can be a nightmare, especially if you have to change flights.

The Capitol.....

A shot through a large window creates an unusual yet usual effect. The Iowa State Capital has new gold leaf on its dome.
