We don't live in a pine forested area so any evergreen is appreciated even if it is the size of a shrub.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

Yes evergreens do always inject some hope and life into winter.
