A very tiny teacup........

A hand painted child's toy teacup found in the most unlikely of places. It was in a cardboard box, above the garage.  The box was filled with thirty years of dirt, old mud dauber nests, old food jars and a Seagrams whiskey bottle.....empty.  It was like finding a diamond in the dirt.

It has been added to my tiny relic collection of old things from the 1800's house.

Perhaps someone couldn't bear to part with it? I know the feeling. I'm glad you resurrected it.

It is indeed quite beautiful. Its a pity you can't unroll the painted scene so we could appreciate the whole thing.

My grandma had a little tea set a bit like this - kind of Chinese or Japanese looking.

What a great find. I just find petrified mouse poop in the attic. Not nearly as exciting.

This looks a bit like Clarice Cliff ware. Are you sure you don't have a valuable antique on your hands? Did you read about the British family who found an old vase in their attic, which sold at auction for £53 million.
