Have a view of my daily photos or photos from my past. We all need to document the world around us visually. What I see is mostly what you get.

A year ago today...........
This is an old photo from a year ago that I took of my three male cardinals. This is a different year weather wise as we have not had the heavy snowfall. We have snow but not fifteen inches or more all over the ground. Because of the less snow have not had as many birds at the feeder. I had three pair of cardinals last year and this year I rarely see just one pair.

Teddy's legs are a little short for this big wheel but he still likes sitting on it. These shots were buried in my files and this one...

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

The cardinals provided a terrific splash of colour in a grey world
I think it is weather related Larry. We have 5 or more males and 10 or more females around this winter which has been colder than normal.
Being from the West Coast, Cardinals are a joy to me, remind me of red bows on a Christmas gift!
Thanks so much for your visits to my blog and sweet comments...the cats are wonderful, truly!
Cardinals brighten up these winter days!

I love cardinals. The scene if beautiful. We have four to five sets of cardinals in our yard all year around. This is the time of year on the Eastern Shore of Virginia where the males strut their stuff for the femailes. Their color is superb. Thank you for sharing the beautiful photo.
