I planted some bulbs under the bushes many years ago. The bushes have overgrown the area but this and one other tulip always shine through every spring. It is the first of May and where did the wet, windy, and cold month of April go?

Peony and Tulips....
The flowers are getting a gentle rain this morning. It makes the soil and sub soil happier as our drought is less these days.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...
