A flower portrait..........

The regale lily that has been shared from my late grandmother in Murray, Iowa, and then was moved to Osceola, Iowa, and now it is in my garden. This one is being crowded out by some field lilies so I will move it to a new location after the blooms are spent.

It's very beautiful. How nice that it has graced so many locations.

What a perfect capture. I like it and I like lilies in general. I have some prickly pear cacti growing in my wilflower garden but, of course, their not native here. Some can be found though in the far southwestern corner of Minnesota, particularly in Blue Mounds State Park. Now, unfortunately closed due to the shutdown of state government. Grrrr.
