Petunias love the heat as long as you keep the soil wet and they don't have to be in full sun the whole day. Don't water them for a few days and they are goners.

I don't have any petunias so I didn't know that. They wouldn't last long here with the current weather situation plus a hose pipe ban.
Mother nature seems to be doing the watering for me today. Can you over-water? If so, she is.

The Mister insisted on having pots of petunias in our front where they are in full shade all day long. I agree with you..I'm having a hard time keeping them going!
