Dropping from the tree..........
While I was walking down my alley I noticed this one lone walnut. The stray walnut tree that came up volunteer in the neighbor's yard now is dropping it's walnuts everywhere. I am sure that the squirrels are all glad that the neighbor didn't stop it from growing when they planted it there.

I'm surprised the squirrels let this one get away. Our squirrels don't miss much.
Great photo. Growing up, Karen and I shared a bedroom and we could hear walnuts drop off the tree and roll down the roof! I remember how strong they smelled if you touched them with your bare hand.
How lovely. I wish a walnut tree would volunteer to grow in my garden. It might stop the squirrels from stealing the birds seed.
