A Good Start.......
Iris that is transplanted doesn't always take right away but seems stunted for the first year. I think this new start will grow strong this year and next year there will be blooms. The leaves on the iris are translucent but one doesn't really notice that until the shines through it. I have a newer bed that hasn't bloomed ever that I hope to see blooms on this year.

Teddy's legs are a little short for this big wheel but he still likes sitting on it. These shots were buried in my files and this one...

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

I hope you do have some beautiful iris blossoms to enjoy this year. We certainly look forward to our iris blooming each year.
It certainly does look healthy now! We cleaned out 2 iris beds last year. I had put it off for years. I hope we didn't cull out too many. :-)
Sure, a good start. I have only violet Iris and this year they are very beautiful and I got more than last year.
Two years ago an Iris appeared in my garden, seemingly from nowhere. It hadn't been seen before so I guess it had been dormant for years, from when the previous house owners did the gardening. It's not very thrilling, a dullish coloured flower, but I leave it alone in the hope that it will flower every year. So far so good.
